GRIT — Smells Like: Straight black licorice, bold and unapologetic — the anise takes over first, dark and sharp, with a thin ribbon of orange peel underneath keeping it from going full candy-shop. Not a "nice" scent. A memorable one.
NB: This bar is loaded with real activated charcoal and ground pumice — the charcoal pulls grease and grime out of your skin, and the pumice does the scrubbing regular soap can't. The licorice-heavy scent is a byproduct of the anise itself, not an added fragrance — some love it, some are surprised by it. Either way, it means business.
POLISH — Smells Like: The tail end of a long shift — sharp medicinal tea tree settles into something calmer, with lavender rounding out the edges. Clean without being soft, like the version of "spa" a mechanic would actually put up with.
NB: POLISH still carries activated charcoal for the daily grime, but it's built lighter than GRIT — the tea tree keeps things sharp and functional while the lavender takes the edge off after a long day.
